Smarty Britches: Nouns is a story set in the South where a little boy’s Smarty Britches teach him about the nouns in his life. Within the app are games and reading strategies. This app was designed by Cyndie Sebourn -a National Board Certified Teacher who has created free curriculum for it at appswithcurriculum.com. The curriculum includes Project-Based Learning. 3. Brush of Truth by Story Bayou
Brush of Truth was written by mom Julie Landry Laviolette to give older kids a full-length, interactive book experience. Written in second person, Brush of Truth tells the story of two tweens who find an enchanted paintbrush in a “choose-your-adventure” format. It has 125 pages of story, 65 choices of what happens next, and 20 possible endings. Laviolette’s company, Story Bayou, a play on “story by you,” makes interactive book apps for tweens 8-12. so kids will read more.
